Easter Sunday food porn

This year for Easter, we're having friends over for dinner. Two are friends with absolutely no desire to eat Paleo or Primal style. The other two are embarking on their first Paleo 30 day challenge. The need to please these four different eaters has given me the inspiration to break out the big gun recipe for meat and serve Korean grass fed short ribs from Nom Nom Paleo, accompanied by baked sweet potatoes, and broccoli from the farmers market. Because it's Easter, and we're all in the mood for a treat, I'm making brownies from The Food Lovers Make it Paleo book. Brownies? Yes, brownies! I really don't advocate the use of paleo desserts on a regular basis, but for Easter? Yea... I think we need a little chocolate. I think it's important to make a good food impression. Look for a picture of all this tastiness tomorrow.

Primary Primal Post

I was listening to Jimmy Moore on the Balanced Bites podcast last week. The discussion was about all the women who have blogged about feeling too imperfect to be a spokesperson for The Paleo lifestyle. I have to admit that I can really identify with this feeling, but I was surprised by the number of women I look up to that were feeling the same way. Jimmy then put out the request for everyone in this wellness movement to do what they can to get the message out there. Blog, do a podcast, write a song, invent recipes, talk to people! Basically, he said to be brave and be a voice for health. So I've decided to start blogging for the first time. I can't decide which is my biggest worry: that no one will read it, that people will read it but hate it, or that my kids will read it and make fun of me. Really, when I think about it, all of these worries are pretty stupid. I can survive all three of these catastrophes put together. Because I love Nom Nom Paleo's blog so much, I'll try to include one of my favorite features from her postings. I'll put some of our meals on display to give readers ideas about what to put in the pie-hole tonight.
